Tourist Attraction manali

Manikaran

Manikaran: is located between Vyaas and Paravti rivers in parvati valley. It is located about 45 kms from Kullu. It is a pilgrimage centre for Sikh and Hindu community. It is well known for its hot springs which is in a village Vashisht and landscapes. The rocks of the spring are uncomfortably hot and the temperature of the hot spring water is above the boiling point. The water of spring is so hot that even one can cook food in that water. The Hindus believe that Manu Brahmin had recreated the human life when the world is deluged into water. Manikaran has many Gurudwaras and temples. The famous temples are temples of Lord Krishna, Lord Rama, and Lord Vishnu. It is also believed that Shiva and his consort Parvati visited there and Parvati lost her earring there which was kept by Shesha and he surrendered the earring only after Shiva performed Tandava.

Rohtang Pass

Rohtang Pass: It is high mountains pass which connect the Kullu valley with lahul and spiti valleys. It is near about 3,978 meters above sea level. It is about 51 kms from Manali. The distance covered by Rohtang pass is about 1 km. It has amazing and astonishing Mountain View that no one can imagine. The months in which the Rohtang pass are open for tourists are May to November. It is not so difficult to cross the pass but it has dangerous reputation because of unpredictable snowstorms. There are many beautiful scenes which include glaciers, peaks and Chandra river flow. There are lots of Dhabas or eateries along the way. Rohtang Pass is considered as the most frequent and oldest pass in the region. It is the way which leads from one culture to another which is quite different.

Rahalla Falls

Rahalla Falls: The Rahalla falls are the result of melting glaciers. It is about 27 km away from Manali located at an altitude of 2,501 m. It is a natural spot where tourist can view the natural beauty. It is also become one of the famous tourist spot. It lies on the way to Rohtang Pass and the area around the Rahalla falls is marvelous, can't be expressed in words. It provides the very clear view of surroundings. Its surroundings also include silver birch trees, forest of deodar. The fresh and aromatic air provides relaxation, piece of mind to the visitors. It is not difficult to reach at Rahalla falls. One can take the train to Manali and the further bus to reach Rahalla falls.

Solang Valley

Solang Valley: It is about 10 kms from Manali. The height of the Solang valley is about 8500 ft. The Solang valley is enriched with green dense forests and snow peaks. After watching the view of Solang valley and the greenery one can feel that they reach in heaven. The view of the valley can't be explained in words. It is also famous for its sports either winter sports or summer sports. The famous sports played there include parachuting, skating, Zorbing and paragliding. It has also Ski school in which few ski agencies offers different courses to learn and equipments to enjoy. These ski agencies are active only in winter seasons because the snow melts during the summer season and at that time the skiing is replaced by other sports. It is advisable that if want to enjoy the Solang valley at its extreme, must go there during the months of January and February.

Jagatsukha

Jagatsukha: is 6 km away from manali. It is a former capital of Manali which is famous for its Shiva temple. This Shiva temple is built in a 'Shikara' style which is dedicated to lord Shiva. Near this temple there is another small temple known as Sharvati temple. Jagatsukha got fame because of the Gauri Shankar temple which was built in 8th century. It is the oldest stone temple in the region. Jagatsukha is also famous for its chacholi jatra festival. Jagatsukha is also a perfect place for honeymoon couples as it has many beautiful surrounding.

Nehru Kund

Nehru Kund: It is 6 km away from the Manali towards keylong at national highway to Leh. Nehru Kund is a natural spring which is named after Late Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. Jwahar Lal Nehru loved this place and always used this water to drink when stayed there. The source of water in Nehru Kund is Bhrigu Lake situated in high mountains.
